Are Evolv weapons detection systems effective?
Yes. Hundreds of schools across the country have installed Evolv gun detection systems with tremendous positive effect. Evolv offers three primary school security gun detection systems: Evolv Express, Evolv eXpedite, and Omnilert. Evolv Express is a walk-through, touchless concealed weapons detection system that pinpoints the location of the hidden weapon on the person and shows it on a security monitor highlighted by a red box. Evolv eXpedite is an additional layer of weapons detection for schools utilizing a conveyor xray scanner, similar to ones found in airports, where people lay backpacks, purses or luggage on the conveyor for scanning by AI sensors that trigger an alert if a firearm is identified. Omnilert is a visible gun detection system that operates both inside and outside buildings. Omnilert is capable of identifying visible weapons carried by a person walking down a school hallway or outside on school grounds.
